If you are a Japanese film enthusiast – mark your calendar for July 9-19, Japan Cuts is happening again. This annual event, North America’s largest festival dedicated to showcasing Japanese contemporary film, has something for everyone. They show documentaries, new classics, animation, samurai film and auteur films – basically, all the cool, crazy, amazing stuff that comes out from Japan, and as of my experience – this country will always, always surprise you.
Organized by Japan Society, see the film schedule here.
