Hong Kong Trilogy: Preschooled Preoccupied Preposterous on Kickstarter

If you enjoy Wong Kar-wai’s movies and many other visually stunning pieces of cinematography like Zhang Yimou’s “Hero”, you know about Christopher Doyle and magic he does with camera. Now, inspired by recent events in Hong Kong he is doing project “Preschooled Preoccupied Preposterous”, binging genuine Hong Kong voices of three generations to screen. As project authors explain:

When the Umbrella Movement began, we were astonished to find that the questions we ask in our film were the same as those asked by our community. Who is Hong Kong? What do we want for our future? How do we get it? What is stopping us? These are the most important questions facing our society today.

Our film is a reflection of a city’s awakening. We want to take the voices of our city and give it back to the Hong Kong people at this critical time, and by sharing the result with everyone around the world, we hope to inspire others of different cultures to ask the same questions of themselves.

You can support this film on Kickstarter!
